Simuka was an Indian king active in the 1st c. BC during the Post-Maurya period from the state of Satavahana. Was assassinated.
Historical Note
Founded the Satavahana dynasty by killing the last Kanva king around 30 BC and seizing the Deccan. Said to have grown evil at the end and to have been killed by his own brother — early Satavahana history is half legend.
