Cheran Senguttuvan was an Indian king active in the 2nd c. AD during the Kushan period from the state of Chera. Died of natural causes.

Historical Note

Greatest of the Chera kings of the Sangam age. Marched north to the Himalayas to fetch a stone for the temple of Kannagi — heroine of the Silappathikaram — and was met by an embassy from the Roman emperor on his return.
