Roman Mythology

Juno

Regina Caeli — Queen of Heaven

Juno is a Roman goddess of marriage, associated with the realm of olympus. Juno belongs to the olympian generation of the pantheon. Roughly equivalent to Hera in cross-pantheon mapping. Symbolised by the peacock.

Historical Note

Juno Moneta — Juno the Warner — gave her name to the mint housed in her temple. From her name comes our word 'money.'
