Dea Lunae — Huntress of the Moon

Diana is a Roman goddess of hunt, associated with the realm of wilderness. Diana belongs to the olympian generation of the pantheon. Roughly equivalent to Artemis in cross-pantheon mapping. Symbolised by the bow.

Historical Note

Diana of Ephesus — a Near Eastern interpretation of the goddess — was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Her temple drew pilgrims from across the Mediterranean.
