Lord of Fire — Mouth of the Gods

Agni is an Indian god of fire, associated with the realm of heaven. Agni belongs to the first generation of the pantheon. Roughly equivalent to Vulcan in cross-pantheon mapping. Symbolised by the flame.

Historical Note

The fire of every household hearth and every sacrificial altar. The messenger who carries offerings from man to god. Has two heads, seven tongues, and is worshipped under the name of every flame in India.
