Greek Mythology
Hera
Queen of the Gods
Hera is a Greek goddess of marriage, associated with the realm of olympus. Hera belongs to the olympian generation of the pantheon. Roughly equivalent to Juno in cross-pantheon mapping. Symbolised by the peacock.
Historical Note
Hera's revenge on Zeus's lovers and illegitimate children drives half of Greek mythology — she sent serpents to kill the infant Hercules, drove him mad, and hounded Io across the world.
