Ares

God of War and Bloodlust

Ares is a Greek god of war, associated with the realm of olympus. Ares belongs to the olympian generation of the pantheon. Roughly equivalent to Mars in cross-pantheon mapping. Symbolised by the spear.

Historical Note

Ares was the least popular of the Olympians even among the Greeks. He was caught in a golden net by Hephaestus while conducting an affair with Aphrodite, much to the amusement of the gods.
