Greek Mythology
Aphrodite
Foam-Born Goddess of Love
Aphrodite is a Greek goddess of love, associated with the realm of olympus. Aphrodite belongs to the olympian generation of the pantheon. Roughly equivalent to Venus in cross-pantheon mapping. Symbolised by the dove.
Historical Note
Born from the sea-foam when Cronus threw the severed genitals of Uranus into the ocean. She caused the Trojan War by bribing Paris with Helen in the Judgment of Paris.
