Vir Fortissimus — Hero of Twelve Labors

Hercules is a Roman hero of strength, associated with the realm of earth. Hercules belongs to the demigod generation of the pantheon. Roughly equivalent to Heracles in cross-pantheon mapping. Symbolised by the club.

Historical Note

The Romans were devoted to Hercules above all other heroes. The Ara Maxima — his Great Altar — in the Forum Boarium was one of Rome's oldest sacred sites.
