Indian Battles
Pushyamitra War
The Battle of Pushyamitra War was fought in 455 AD in Ganges Valley during the Gupta era, a land engagement against Pushyamitras. It ended in victory for the Indian side.
Historical Note
Before the Huns came, Skandagupta had to put down the Pushyamitra tribe of the Narmada — a revolt that almost reached Pataliputra. The Bhitari pillar describes his arms aching from killing so many in a single day of battle.
