Sangala

The Battle of Sangala was fought in 326 BC in Indus Valley during the Macedonian Invasion era, a siege engagement against Macedonians. It ended in defeat for the Indian side.

Historical Note

The Cathaeans ringed their hilltop city with three rings of carts. Alexander stormed all three in an afternoon and put 17,000 to the sword. Even his veterans began muttering about marching home.
