Aornos
The Battle of Aornos was fought in 327 BC in Indus Valley during the Macedonian Invasion era, a siege engagement against Macedonians. It ended in defeat for the Indian side.
Historical Note
A near-vertical rock-fortress on the Indus said to have defied even Herakles. Alexander took it in a week with ladders, a timber causeway, and pure ambition — the most spectacular siege of his career.
