Nefertiti was an Egyptian queen active in the 14th c. BC during the New Kingdom period from the state of 18th Dynasty. Died of natural causes.
Historical Note
Akhenaten's chief queen, immortal in the painted limestone bust now in Berlin. May have ruled briefly as Neferneferuaten after his death, possibly as the mysterious pharaoh who handed the crown to Tutankhamun.
