Akhenaten was an Egyptian pharaoh active in the 14th c. BC during the New Kingdom period from the state of 18th Dynasty. Died of natural causes.

Historical Note

Abandoned every god of Egypt for one — the Aten, the solar disc — and built a new capital at Amarna for it. The first monotheist in history. After his death his successors erased him: the heretic of Amarna.
