Wu Zixu
the Avenger of Chu
Wu Zixu was a Chinese chancellor active in the 6th c. BC during the Spring & Autumn period from the state of Wu. Took his own life.
Historical Note
Fled Chu after the king murdered his father and brother, took service with Wu, sacked the Chu capital, and dug up his old king's corpse to flog it 300 times. Later forced to suicide by an ungrateful Fuchai.
