Chinese Battles

Tongguan

The Battle of Tongguan was fought in 211 AD in Wei Valley during the Three Kingdoms era, a land engagement against Ma Chao. It ended in victory for the Chinese side.

Historical Note

Cao Cao crossed the Wei River under fire and shattered the Guanzhong coalition. Ma Chao's father and family had already been killed in Ye — Ma Chao would spend his life trying to avenge them.
