Chinese Battles

Guiling

The Battle of Guiling was fought in 354 BC in Central Plains during the Warring States era, a ambush engagement against Wei. It ended in victory for the Chinese side.

Historical Note

Sun Bin's first masterstroke. Rather than relieve besieged Zhao directly, he marched on Wei's defenseless capital — forcing the Wei army to abandon the siege and run into his ambush.
