Krishna is an Indian avatar of wisdom, associated with the realm of earth. Krishna belongs to the hero generation of the pantheon. Symbolised by the flute.
Historical Note
Eighth avatar of Vishnu. Born in a prison and smuggled out at midnight, raised as a cowherd, slayer of demons by age twelve. On the field of Kurukshetra he drove Arjuna's chariot and delivered the Bhagavad Gita. The Mahabharata is his stage.
