Indian Battles
Dakshinapatha
The Battle of Dakshinapatha was fought in 350 AD in South India during the Gupta era, a land engagement against Twelve Kings. It ended in victory for the Indian side.
Historical Note
Samudragupta marched south through the forests as far as Kanchipuram, defeated twelve kings, and then — astonishingly — restored every one of them as tributaries. The first Indian doctrine of suzerainty without occupation.
