Liberator of Sicily

Timoleon was a Greek strategos active in the 4th c. BC during the Classical period based in Corinth. Died of natural causes.

Historical Note

Killed his own brother for becoming a tyrant of Corinth. Sent to Syracuse, where he overthrew Dionysius II and broke the power of Carthage in Sicily.
