Periander was a Greek tyrant active in the 6th c. BC during the Archaic period based in Corinth. Died of natural causes.

Historical Note

Tyrant of Corinth and one of the Seven Sages. Patron of the arts and unifier of trade routes — but also said to have killed his pregnant wife in a fit of rage.
