Leonidas I was a Greek king active in the 5th c. BC during the Classical period based in Sparta. Was killed in battle.

Historical Note

Held Thermopylae with 300 Spartans and several thousand allies for three days. Betrayed by Ephialtes, who showed Xerxes a mountain path around the pass.
