Swift-Footed Hero of the Iliad

Achilles is a Greek hero of war, associated with the realm of earth. Achilles belongs to the hero generation of the pantheon. Symbolised by the shield.

Historical Note

Achilles' one weakness — his heel, left unwetted when Thetis dipped him in the Styx — was struck by Paris's arrow guided by Apollo. He was the greatest warrior of the age but died at Troy.
