Khnum is an Egyptian god of creation, associated with the realm of earth. Khnum belongs to the primordial generation of the pantheon. Symbolised by the potter's wheel.

Historical Note

Ram-headed god who fashioned every human being and their ka — life-force — on his potter's wheel from Nile clay. Guardian of the cataracts at Elephantine, where the Nile is born from below the earth.
