Egyptian Battles

Unification

The Battle of Unification was fought in 3100 BC in Delta during the Early Dynastic era, a land engagement against Lower Egypt. It ended in victory for the Egyptian side.

Historical Note

Tradition places it at the dawn of writing: Narmer marched downriver from Hierakonpolis, conquered the Delta kingdoms, and was the first to wear the Double Crown of Upper and Lower Egypt. The Narmer Palette commemorates the day.
