Emperor Wu of Han was a Chinese emperor active in the 2nd c. BC during the Western Han period from the state of Han. Died of natural causes.
Historical Note
Pushed Han to its greatest extent — crushed the Xiongnu, opened the Silk Road, and made Confucianism the state ideology. Reigned 54 years, longer than any Chinese ruler before the Qing.
