Nero

the Artist

Nero was a Roman emperor of the Julio-Claudian dynasty active in the 1st c. AD originally from Italia. Held power for 14 years and took his own life.

Historical Note

Played the lyre while Rome burned (allegedly). His suicide line was reportedly 'What an artist dies in me!'
