Mark Antony was a statesman of the Roman Republic active in the 1st c. BC originally from Italia. Held power for 13 years and took his own life.

Historical Note

Caesar's lieutenant, then triumvir. Allied with Cleopatra in Egypt, lost the war with Octavian at Actium (31 BC), and took his own life on false news of her death.
