Greek Battles

Corupedium

The Battle of Corupedium was fought in 281 BC in Anatolia during the Hellenistic era, a land engagement against Seleucids. It ended in defeat for the Greek side.

Historical Note

Lysimachus, 80 years old, met Seleucus, the second-to-last surviving veteran of Alexander. Lysimachus fell — and Seleucus was murdered weeks later. The age of the Diadochi ended.
