Chaeronea

The Battle of Chaeronea was fought in 338 BC in Central Greece during the Classical era, a land engagement against Athens/Thebes. It ended in victory for the Greek side.

Historical Note

Philip II, with the 18-year-old Alexander commanding the left, shattered the Greek alliance. The Sacred Band of Thebes was annihilated to the last man.
