Wu Ding

Greatest Shang King

Wu Ding was a Chinese king active in the 13th c. BC during the Bronze Age period from the state of Shang. Died of natural causes.

Historical Note

Restored Shang power after a long decline, campaigned for fifty years on every frontier, and married the warrior-priestess Fu Hao. The oracle bones from his reign are the earliest Chinese writing we have.
