The Battle of Ctesiphon (Trajan) was fought in 116 AD in Mesopotamia during the Principate era, a siege engagement against Parthia. It ended in victory for the Roman side.

Historical Note

Trajan briefly took the Parthian capital, reaching the Persian Gulf — the farthest east Rome ever marched.
