Tian Dan

Liberator of Qi

Tian Dan was a Chinese general active in the 3rd c. BC during the Warring States period from the state of Qi. Died of natural causes.

Historical Note

Held the last Qi city of Jimo against Yan for five years. Counter-attacked with a column of oxen with torches lashed to their tails and blades to their horns, broke the besiegers, and retook all seventy cities.
